Natural Gas Production In Pa Is Changing The Way America Does Oil

Gas production is rising fast in Pennsylvania-- faster then energy experts had predicted. It's having an impact on how the United States does energy. Bentek, a Colorado company that analyzes energy trends, said 2013 production is up about 50 percent compared to last year. Pennsylvania is on track to produce 3.2 trillion cubic feet of gas by year's end. That translates to about 550 million barrels of oil. They are making so much that Marcellus gas is "actually starting to displace" production from the Gulf of Mexico.
