Natural Gas Industry Sends Irritated Letter To Ny Governor

The natural gas industry is growing weary of New York State. The Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York sent a letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo Monday, urging him to release the long-awaited report on high-volume hydrofracking, and move forward with issuing permits. They said their trust in state government has been "exhausted." The letter came in advance of a November 29th deadline, which, if missed, would require the DEC to reopen its proposed regulations to public comment. The last time that happened, the delay lasted more then a year. The state is waiting on a panel of three out-of-state experts to look over its rules, and give feedback, which may not happen by November 29th.
