Conservative Politial Action Commiteee, CPAC, kicked off their 2012 conference today in Washington D.C. CPAC is America's largest gathering of conservative leaders and candidates. Democratic Political Leader Ed Espinoza says the purpose of the event isn't to define who the nominee will be, or give anyone a boost, but it's really to define the issues that you care about. Republicans had a warning for Mitt Romney. They said if he misses his opportunity at CPAC, the election will drag on much longer. Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich will all speak at the convention tomorrow. The event comes to a culmination on Saturday with a straw poll for the Republican candidate. Most pundits agree Rick Santorum is likely to win.
