(Washington, DC) -- NASA is releasing spectacular new images collected by a newly-refurbished Hubble Space Telescope.  Doctor Dave Leckrone from the Goddard Space Flight Center gave all the credit to the space shuttle crew that recently returned from a dangerous trip to replace and upgrade all of the telescope's main components.

NASA invited Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski to unveil the new images since she fought to resurrect the Hubble repair mission that had been scrapped by a previous administrator.

Some of the newly released images show the demise of a planetary nebula and the spectrum of colors generated in the Omega Centauri star cluster.  Operators of the telescope say it is operating perfectly and is more powerful than ever before.
