Nasa Counting Down To Launch Of Experimental Rocket

The countdown to Tuesday's planned launch of the experimental Ares 1-X rocket has been trouble-free but now it looks like the weather might interfere with liftoff. The 327-foot rocket is scheduled to blast off from Florida's Kennedy Space Center but forecasters say there's only a 40-percent chance of acceptable weather. The odds improve to 60-percent on Wednesday. The Ares 1-X is an unmanned launch vehicle that will help engineers test key components of the new rocket as well as its overall design. The Ares rockets are supposed to replace the space shuttles once those are retired in 2011.
