The man in charge at NASA is being investigated for possible conflict of interest violations for allegedly trying to slow down work on a project that would develop ocean-based bio-fuels. The "Orlando Sentinel" is reporting that Charlie Bolden is under investigation by NASA's inspector general to determine if his previous job on the board of directors for Marathon Oil and his significant stock holdings with the company may have led to his interference with NASA's bio-fuel project called OMEGA. Bolden wrote in one email that he started to doubt the OMEGA project, quote, "especially after discussions with representatives of the Marathon Oil Company." NASA's general counsel has reviewed the matter and found no conflict of interest.
