Microsoft will announce new software to be used in cellphones today. "The Wall Street Journal" reports a new version of Windows Mobile 7 will be unveiled at a wireless industry conference in Barcelona, Spain. New devices using Windows Mobile 7 are expected to be in stores later this year. Microsoft has been hurt by increasing competition from Apple and most recently from Google's Android operating system.

Microsoft is also reportedly working on a new device currently code-named Pink. "The Journal" says it's a smart phone aimed at the youth market powered by software from a company called Danger, a start-up acquired by Microsoft two years ago.
