Mexico Says American Video Game Is Too Graphic For Them
02.21.11 |
Mexico has asked Congress to ban an American video game that gets released this summer. The shoot-em up video game claims you can take justice in your own hands, and experience the lawlessness of the modern wild west. The problem is the game, called "Call of Juarez: The Cartel," is based on the actual Mexican city of Cuidad Juarez-- which had 6-thousand deaths in 2009 and 2010 because of drugs. It's one of the deadliest cities in the world. Lawmaker Ricardo Boone Salmon said it's true there is a serious crime situation, which they are not trying to hide-- but they also should not expose children so they grow up with this kind of image and lack of values.
