Metrodome To Get New Roof

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The Metrodome landlords voted to replace the collapsed roof of the stadium that was destroyed in a snow storm late last year.  The new roof of the Metrodome will be ten acres of Teflon-coated fiberglass and would be in place on the stadium by August 1st, in time for the Minnesota Vikings preseason.

The original covering collapsed under heavy snow and ice following a blizzard in December.  The Vikings issued a statement saying they are in favor of a new roof, but they need a new multi-purpose stadium.
