McDonald's is playing to the hometown crowd as it unveils its first new burger in eight years. The Oak Brook, Illinois-based chain will debut its Angus burger but only to Chicago-area residents. Crain's "Chicago Business" reports that two years of test marketing went into the new patty, which weighs in at a hefty one-third of a pound. It's made from a higher grade of beef than McDonald's other offerings. It's also larger than any other McDonald's burger. The new sandwich goes on sale for three-99 on July 2nd at roughly 500 Chicago-area restaurants.
