Maytag Recalls Refrigerators Due To Fire Hazard

(Washington, DC) -- Maytag has issued a recall for several refrigerators due to a fire hazard. Maytag, Magic Chef, Performa by Maytag and Crosley brand refrigerators are affected by the recall. Around 46-thousand appliances are being recalled due to an electrical failure in the relay which can cause overheating and poses a serious fire hazard.
Maytag first issued a similar recall in March of this year, but another 23 reports, including four reports of property damage, have been filed. More information, including serial numbers and pictures of the affected appliances are available at the Maytag website maytag.com.
