Mayor Bloomburg Excludes Religious Observances From All 9 11 Events

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomburg is in hot water with the religious community for purging prayer from all 9/11 observances.  The president of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's larges Protestant group, says Bloomburg's attempt at political correctness flies in the face of what the country flocked to after 9/11: God. The mayor is being lacerated by members of the clergy for not including any prayer or religious figures in the city's observance of the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks. Mega-church Pastor Rick Warren will lead a memorial service on 9-11 at a church two blocks from Ground Zero. Warren says he decided to organize it after hearing that Bloomburg was excluding prayer from the 9-11 remembrance.
