Many Born Again Christians Hold Universalist Views

Many born-again Christians hold universalist views, a new Barna poll has found.
Barna discovered 25 percent of all born-again Christians-- no matter the denomination-- believe people will eventually be saved by God, even if they don't believe in Christ. 26-percent said religion didn't matter, because all faiths essentially teach the same thing-- even Islam and Hinduism. Don Carson, research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, said at The Gospel Coalition’s national conference last week that many are feeling pressure from the culture "to find universalism attractive"-- because Christianity is becoming synonmous with intolerance.
