More Americans believe capitalism-- the idea of owning a business and making your own profit-- is at odds with Christianity. A new nationwide poll shows 44-percent of people in the U.S.. think a free market system is incompatible with Christian values.  That's compared to only 36-percent who say they're perfectly compatible.  Women, Democrats and those with low household incomes were the most likely to say the two don't mix. Republicans, Tea Party members and members of high-income households were the most likely to say that capitalism is consistent with Christian values.  The poll was conducted by the Public Religion Research Institute and the Religion News Service.
