Singer-songwriter Carly Simon, famed tenor Andrea Bocelli, reggae star Ziggy Marley, and country singer Billy Currington will help provide musical variety at the 83rd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The event will feature more than eight-thousand participants, including actors, musicians, marching bands, athletes, clowns, and other acts, as well as dazzling floats, balloons, and Santa Claus, which will all make their way through Manhattan on Thanksgiving morning to officially usher in the holiday season.

The rock band Boys Like Girls, hip-hop/R&B singer Jay Sean, former "American Idol" finalist Katherine McPhee, and the jazz ensemble The Pizzarelli Quartet are on board as well, while the parade will also feature performances from the casts of the Broadway shows "Billy Elliot," "Bye Bye Birdie," "Hair," and "Shrek." "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" host Jimmy Fallon and his show's house band The Roots will appear, along with Gloria Gaynor, Kermit the Frog and other "Sesame Street" characters, skating champ Emily Hughes, actors Alan Cumming and Jane Krakowski, and numerous other stars.

New balloons this year include Spider-Man, the Pilsbury Doughboy, Ronald McDonald, and Sailor Mickey Mouse, while The Care Bears, M&Ms Chocolate Candies on Broadway, The Smurfs, Doodlebug, Snoopy's Doghouse, Spirit of Liberty, and the "Speed Racer" Mach 5 will be among the floats. "Today" show personalities Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer, and Al Roker will host the three-hour coverage of "The 83rd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," which will air on NBC on November 26th, at 9:00 a.m. across all time zones.
