Princeton Review has unveiled a list of top 100 value colleges. The State University of New York-Binghampton University is fourth on the list of public colleges. Among private colleges, Swarthmore in Pennsylvania is ranked at the top of the list. The Review says Swarthmore has the best college radio station in the nation, as is considered to be one of the nation's finest institutions of higher learning.

The list is made up of two major categories: "Best Value Public College" and "Best Value Private College." The overall rankings are based on student opinion surveys and data from the institutions themselves collected from the fall of 2007 through fall of 2008. In addition to feedback from students the amount those students were in debt on graduation was taken into account along with services and overall education offered by each campus.

Among public colleges the University of Virginia in Charlottesville is ranked number one.  The university was found to have excellent career and job placement services, a massive library and a fairly balanced ratio of students with nearly fifty-six percent female. The New College of Florida ranks second followed by College of William and Mary. Rounding out the top five is Florida State University in Tallahassee.

Harvard, Princeton, Rice and Yale were in the top five private colleges. The complete rankings and information on each college can be found on the Princeton Review website princetonreview.com.
