Library Of Congress Asks You To Interview A Veteran

11.12.12 | Sarah Harnisch

In honor of Veterans Day, the Library of Congress wants you to interview a veteran.  The Veterans History Project encourages people of all ages to break out the microphone and talk to a veteran to get his or her story, so it can be preserved for generations to come. Bob Patrick runs the Veterans History project at the library of congress, which stores countless interviews. Patrick says "it's a very simple process. We're not looking for an elaborate production here, just a 30 minute or more interview from a veteran in which he or she talks about what the human experience of war is all about."  For more information and how to receive a field kit to conduct interviews, go here.
