Komen Drops Support Of Planned Parenthood

The world's largest breast cancer organization, Susan B. Komen For The Cure, is yanking hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to Planned Parenthood. The breast cancer organization says new rules prevent it from funding any group under investigation-- and Planned Parenthood is under congressional investigation for how it spends it's federal cash. It's being accused of using taxpayer money to fund abortions. Planned Parenthood says it's bowing to political pressure from pro-life groups. A Planned Parenthood spokeswoman said they were "deeply troubled by the precedent of putting politics before women's health." But Komen said "there's no room for politics in healthcare, regardless of which side you're on." Many Christians have been boycotting Komen for years, and in December, Christian Bookmaker Lifeway Resources yanked thousands of pink Komen Bibles because of the grants Komen had given to Planned Parenthood.
