Parents might want to keep a watchful eye on teens who use social media.  A study shows a link between increased drug abuse and time spent on sites such as Facebook.  Researchers say the 70-percent of teens who spend time on social networking sites are twice as likely to use marijuana compared to those who don't participate.  The study also reveals that social-networking teens are five times more likely to use tobacco and three times more likely to drink alcohol.  The study was done by the National Center on addiction and substance abuse at Columbia University.
