Former Penn State Assistant Football Coach Jerry Sandusky has been recommended for designation as a sexually violent predator, a legal status that would require lifetime registration with authorities.  The recommendation from the sexual offenders assessment board was disclosed to the Associated Press on thursday. Sandusky, given his age and the serious nature of the crimes of which he was convicted, is likely to receive a sentence that will keep him in prison for life. No sentencing date has been announced.
