Its Legislative Day In New York

03.15.11 | Bob Price, Sarah Harnisch

It's Legislative Day in New York. That means 15-hundred conservatives descend upon the state capitol in Albany to find out what issues they need to keep their eyes on in the state this year. Jason Mcgwire with New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms is sponsoring the event. He says "one of the things we're watching is this vote on same sex-marriage. A vote is anticipated somewhere in April through June. That's one of the top issues we're working at. We're also stressing the need for a Defense of Marriage bill that would define marriage between one man and one woman. In the pro-life issues, we're looking at the Reproductive Health Act, which would remove virtually any restrictions for abortions whatsoever in New York state. So there's a host of issues we're paying attention to this year." If you want some more background information on today's event, take a look at this.
