The Media Research Center's Culture and Media Institute released a special report that studied how the major networks covered the Republican candidates and their respective faith in the first 10 months of this year. Cnsnews.com says the networks mentioned the religions of these candidates seven times more than Democratic presidential hopefuls in 2007 before the 2008 campaign cycle.  The study also claims the networks were 13 times more likely to challenge, criticize or highlight controversy in the discussion of the faith of a Republican candidate.
