How Does Vice President Toomey Sound

Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey's name is on a short list for Vice President of the United States in 2012. The political rise of the freshman senator took a leap skyward today-- as speculation mounted that he could be the G.O.P's ideal Vice Presidential runningmate in 2012. Jim Geraghty, a political columnist with the conservative National Review Magazine, sang his praises Monday-- calling him a candidate with free market credentials, admired by Tea Partiers, and coming from a swing state.  He was also backed by Robert Asher, one of 3 Pennsylvania Republican National Committee members. The Lehigh Valley Republican has yet to complete his first term in the Senate. Just two other possible candidate have been labeled-- Marco Rubio of Florida, and Rob Portman of Ohio.
