Governor Cuomo Names Kathy Hochul As Running Mate

 Gov. Andrew Cuomo picked former U.S. Rep. Kathy Hochul as his running mate and Democratic candidate for New York's lieutenant governor.
Hochul, a former Erie County clerk, won a special election in 2011 to Congress. She was among the possible replacements mentioned in recent weeks after Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy announced he would resign from his position at the end of this year.Cuomo is scheduled to accept the state Democratic Party's formal designation on Thursday.
Cuomo and Hochul will be opposed by Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino and his running mate, Chemung County Sheriff Chris Moss.
