Geneva College in western Pennsylvania has joined a class action lawsuit filed by 40 groups in a dozen states, challenging the controversial birth-control mandate in the federal health-care law. The mandate stipulates that faith-based employers offer birth control to their workers. Mike Geer is president of the Pennsylvania Family Institute. He says "it is not just against Catholics. It really is against the rights of conscience in our liberties in freedom of religion. The free excersize of religion in our nation is under threat from this.  If people don't wake up to it, it's just the first step in great erosion and a tax on our religious liberty." Other Pennsylvania groups that have joined this lawsuit include the Dioceses of Pittsburgh and Erie as well as the Evangelical College of western Pennsylvania.
