Gender Neutral Niv Translation Has A Big Supporter

There has been a lot of bickering over whether the new gender-neutral N.I.V. Bible is accurate or not. Many of the comments have been critical. But yesterday, a leading Christian scholar said it's not as bad as everyone thinks. Dr. Darrell Bock, research professor of New Testament studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, told the Christian Post Wednesday that he didn't believe there was a motive or agenda behind the translators. He recommended critics should tackle the new version verse by verse and not denounce the thing as a whole. This was the first new N.I.V. translation in 25 years. Publishers were out with a million copies in March. The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood said they found 27-hundred gender-related inaccuracies, and the Southern Baptist Convention-- the largest Protestant denomination in the country-- recently rejected the new N.I.V., saying it alters the meaning of hundreds of verses.
