A million students, including thousands from New York and Pennsylvania, that are working on their GED (their high school equivalency diploma), have to finish it in 2013 or start all over again. GED testing services will introduce a new version of the test, given nationwide, on January 1st, 2014. They are the first major changes since 2002 and will involve shifting the entire test from paper to electronics. That means they have until December 31st, or their scores will expire and they'll have to begin all over again. There are 5 parts to the test. There's also a financial incentive to take it this year. In 2014, the cost to take it doubles to 120 dollars.
