Democrats have taken an official vote to formally back same sex marriage. The drafting committee voted to include the language during a weekened meeting in Minneapolis, and Democrats, overall, will vote to accept it at the Democratic National Convention in September, the same place where the President will officially accept his party's nomination to run again. While gay rights advocates are rallying over the decision, the National Organization for Marriage said the decision sets up marriage as a defining issue in the presidential election.
