Football Star Turns Down Nfl Offer To Help His Dad

It is not often that you see a perfectly healthy NFL safety turn down an offer to play. But that's what Mississippi State grad Keith Fitzhugh did this week. He decided to decline an offer by the Jets to be part of their active roster, and took a job, instead, as a conductor for the Nortfolk Southern Railroad. Fitshugh said for him-- it's all about family. He wants to stay close, and make sure they're all taken care of. His father is disabled and unable to work, and the nfl would have taken him far away. He says it's about family over career.
