Flood Watch For Wny

12.20.13 | Bob Price

A flood watch is in effect for all of western New York on the first official weekend of winter. A warm front will stall over the Great Lakes today - bringing significant rain and milder temperatures to western and central New York.  There’s a flood watch in effect from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening for the south towns of Buffalo and areas south and east of lakes Erie and Ontario.  Officials say heavy rain combined with snowmelt will create the potential for ice jams and localized flooding on the first weekend of winter.
