Fill Out Ny Safe Act Opt Out Form Here
02.18.13 |
People are inundating sheriff's offices across upstate New York to fill out a form that keeps your personal information out of the public record, if you own a weapon. The records are impacted by New York's new Safe Act. The Chemung County Sheriff said the amount of people coming in the door is more then they can handle, and if people can fill them out online instead of stopping by, it will save them some time. "We did have dozens of people show up on Friday, and we've had phone calls and emails. So we would ask that you please go online and fill out the form there, then either drop it off or mail it in, and we'll get it in the system."
