New research suggests facebook is responsible for 1 in 5 divorces in America today.  Even healthy marriages are at risk says relationship expert Loren Kapelow. She says "people want to communicate. That's their connection to each other. So if you're going to be on facebook with someone five times a day, all the sudden, it may start out innocent, but you're going to start building a connection to that person."
Kapelow says there are safeguards you need to put in place to protect your marriage.  She says you should start by sharing your password with your spouse, ask yourself why you're online, or even have a shared facebook page with your spouse, where each of you can see how you respond online.  80 percent of divorce lawyers say more people are using social media to cheat on their spouse.
