It looks like the outrage of thousands of Facebook users is paying off. The social networking site says it is going back to its old ways after users upset over a change in the site's terms of use expressed their discontent.

Facebook had recently added language that said it would retain a user's content and the right to use it even after an account was closed. That got many users upset and they let the site know.

After a wave of protests, Facebook posted a message on the site advising users that it would suspend the policy because of the negative response while they resolved the issues that had been raised.
