Ed Koch To Vote For A Republican To Replace Weiner

Former New York City mayor and Democratic Congressman Edward Koch says he will be voting for a Republican to fill former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner's old seat, which is in a heavily democratic district. Cotch says he believes if enough Democrats vote to put Republicans in the house, it may cause the President to chance his hostile position towards the state of Israel. Koch says, "If Jewish New Yorkers and others who support Israel were to turn away from the Democratic Party in that congressional election and elect the Republican candidate to Congress in 2011, it might very well cause President Obama to change his hostile position on the state of Israel and to re-establish the special relationship presidents before him had supported."

The special election for Weiner's seat is on September 13th.
