Donald Trump Bows Out Of The Presidential Race

A Gallup Poll, released Monday, showed Trump led among moderate and liberal Republicans, and his momentum was rising. Trump was tied with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for the top spot as the preferred Republican nominee for president. And he held the highest percentage of support - 21 percent - among moderate and liberal Republicans than any other ring-wing contender. He also had a higher percentage of conservative supporters than Tea Party favorites Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty.

One strategist says Trump's departure will actually help the Republican party, though. He said he believes most Republican strategists took a big sigh of relief in hearing he wasn't running, because it will mean a less divided Republican party. Trump had garnered many Tea Partier's votes.
