Detroit Kansas City Rated Top Airports
02.19.10 |
Three Midwest airports are among the best according to airline passengers who have flown in the last year. A J.D. Power and Associates survey rates Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County as the nation's best large airport. Kansas City International was chosen as the best midsize airport while flyers rated Indianapolis International as the best small airport.
The survey was based on responses from more than 12-thousand passengers who flew on a round-trip flight last year. The airports were judged on accessibility, the check-in and baggage-check process, baggage claim, terminal facilities, security check, and food and retail services.
Other large airports with high satisfaction scores were Denver, Minneapolis and Orlando. Scoring the lowest among big airports were Newark, Los Angeles and Miami. The results represent J.D. Power's first airport survey in two years.
