Democrats are calling for gay marriage to be part of the party platform for the National Convention in September, according to the "Christian Post." Wednesday, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa called for the entire Democratic party to include language that would give a full endorsement of gay marriage. A group of gay marriage activists called "Freedom to Marry" has also garnred the signatures of 24 U.S. senators calling for the Democratic party to include the issue as part of their regular platform. But President Obama hasn't publically professed his complete and total support for gay marriage. Last month, he raised a million and a half dollars at a fundraising event held by wealthy gay donors, and even there, he made comments that stopped short of a complete and total committment to gay marriage.
