(Washington, DC)  --  The White House is indicating the moratorium on deepwater oil drilling will end soon.  White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters today that an announcement will come very soon on the matter.  He added that the moratorium process is coming to a natural end and that a process should be in place to contain additional oil spills.  The moratorium was put in place in May after the Deepwater Horizon disaster that resulted in millions of barrels of oil being released into the Gulf of Mexico.
