December Not So Bad Watch Out For Janfeb Weather

11.28.12 | Sarah Harnisch

We have been getting forecast after forecast from national weathermen predicting that this winter will be worse then last. Now, the first "Pennsylvania" forecast is out. Accuweather is based in State College, Pennsylvania, and forecasts for the entire country. But it serves as home base for the Keystone state. On Tuesday, meteorologist Jack Boston predicted the first half of the season will not be as harsh as the second half, and the weather will be worse then last year, but not an unusual winter. He says we'll be 6 to 8 degrees cooler then last winter. December will only log about 7 inches of snow in P.A., which is unusually light. But January and February could see 20 inches, whereas last year, only 3 inches fell both months.
