Cyber Monday Marked By Online Specials
11.30.09 |
Today is Cyber Monday, the online equivalent of shopping's Black Friday. The National Retail Federation says nearly 97-million Americans will browse gift selections on their favorite websites today. That's up from 85-million holiday shoppers last year. Employers worried about productivity need not worry, since nine out of ten customers will buy from home instead of at work. Roughly 87-percent of retailers with websites plan to hold online specials on Cyber Monday. The website www.cybermonday.com has a list of many of the sales with links to some of the different retailers. The National Retail Federation says the list of goodies includes price discounts, free or reduced shipping and gifts with purchases.
