Cuomo Popularity Down Spitzer Says He Doesnt Regret Resigning

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's popularity continues to slide. Cuomo's favorability rating slipped for the third consecutive month, and hit its lowest point since he took office in 2011, a Sienna College poll has found. His popularity fell to 64 percent, down from 72 percent in December. Cuomo, facing criticism for the new gun control law.

Meanwhile, five years later, former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer said Monday his resignation was the right decision. On March 10th 2008, Spitzer essentially had 48 hours to decide what to do, after it was revealed he had solicited a prostitute. He chose to resign. On the 5 year anniversary of the biggest political downfall in New York history, Spitzer said Monday he believed it was the right decision. He said he's not eyeing any political return.
