Cuomo Coming To Jamestown Family Life Will Be There
01.12.11 |
New York's new governor is making a swing through upstate New York tomorrow morning. Andrew Cuomo will be in Jamestown at 10:30 a.m. as part of his "Take It To The People" tour. He's going to bring up some of the issues he talked about in his State of the State address last week. He may face some tough questions in Jamestown though-- one city official said "the fact is that 90 percent of all property tax dollars, collected from town, village, city, school and county taxes, go directly to Albany to satisfy the demand of unfunded mandates." They want the cash to come back to the cities that pay it. They say having the governor in town will let them take the problem directly to him.
We will have a reporter there on the scene tomorrow. Our own Bill Price will keep us updated from Jamestown.
