Crows Stop The Mail

The "Winnipeg Sun" reports the birds have been dive-bombing letter carriers recently, leading Canada Post officials to temporarily cancel service to that area until a solution can be reached.  One resident said she thought she saw one of the birds take a "chunk" out of the regular carrier, but the Canada Post has not confirmed the injury.  A Conservation Department spokeswoman says the birds are acting aggressively because they are most likely protecting their young.  They should calm down once the babies leave the nest, which should happen in about a week or so.  But until then, she says the Conservation Department has no plans to step in and remove the crows.
