Corning Community College officials met last night to discuss ways they can improve the safety of Spencer Hill Road, the site of a deadly crash last month. The meeting was to discuss options the college can take to be proactive in educating students, and the public, about the dangers of the road. The November 18th crash killed CCC student Justin Lewis. His car crash was one of three on Spencer Hill Road that week. All of the crashes involved CCC students. According to Steuben County, there have been three deadly crashes on that stretch of road since 1987, and 54 total crashes there the past 5 years.
