Corbett Says Unemployment Is High Because Job Seekers Are High

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is taking heat from democrats for saying on a radio program this week that the reason the state unemployment rate is so high-- is that the people applying for jobs-- can't pass drug tests. Corbett's comments set democrats on fire,
but business leaders say the governor's statement is accurate. Harrisburg Regional Chamber President Ray Black says he did an informal poll Wednesday at a economic development conference. Those are business leaders in the state capitol. They found 50 percent of all business owners couldn't make hires because applicants could not pass drug tests. Pennsylvania is 49th in job growth, and has a higher unemployment rate then the national average.
