A treasure of the artworld will hit the auction block in December and is expected to attract international attention. Christie's in London says it will offer for sale a Rembrandt "masterpiece" and expects it to bring in 41-million dollars. That amount would establish an auction record for a Rembrandt. The painting is titled "Portrait of a man, half-length, with his arms akimbo." It was painted in 1658 and has not been seen in public for nearly 40 years. The painting go on public display from December 4th to the 8th. It's viewed as an indicator of the health of the art market which has suffered during the global financial crisis.
