Christians To Protest The Affordable Care Act
07.03.12 |
Christians are planning a mass protest this fall over the President's healthcare reform bill. Pro-life and faith-based groups say they'll stage civil disobedience over President Obama's healthcare plan. It's happening this fall, and it's called Acts Five:29. Taken from the New Testament book of Acts 5:29, where the apostles refused to comply when told by local officials they could not publically share their faith, they said "we must obey God rather then man." On September 19th-22nd, Americans are being invited to participate in 72 hours of peaceful protest. Organizers says the healthcare law "forces citizens to pay for abortions and abortifacient drugs regardless of their convictions. It makes the subsidizing of abortion a federally mandated responsibility for all taxpayers." If you want to read more about Acts 5:29, go here.
