California Teacher Penalizes Kids Who Say God Bless You

A northern California High School teacher has banned "God Bless You" from his classroom. Teacher Steve Cuckovich says he doesn't want students delivering the traditional blessing when someone sneezes in his class, saying "the blessing really doesn't make any sense anymore. When you sneezed in the old days, they thought you were dispelling evil spirits out of your body, but today, it doesn't really make sense." The William C. Wood High School teacher has reduced student's grades by 25 points for violating the rule. After parents complained though, school officials said he will not be allowed to dock their grades again in the future.
