Since the Deepwater Horizon oil rig blew up April 20th in the Gulf of Mexico, BP has spent a ton of money -- on advertising.  In fact, the petroleum giant has invested more than one-million dollars per week on radio and television ads across the U.S.  The company is expected to report the expenditures to the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce committee today.

Britain's "Sunday Telegraph" reports that most of the ads have featured BP employees talking about cleanup efforts and just how much they care about restoring the Gulf of Mexico.  BP spent much of the money in areas affected by the spill, with five cities in Florida listed in the top ten for money spent on advertising.
