(Lockport, NY) -- Representatives of Chrysler, Delphi, Ford and GM met with members of the President's Automotive Task Force yesterday. The aim was to continue their push for what they call equitable treatment for all auto industry company retirees. Representatives from the Delphi Salaried Retiree Association says they want both retiree groups, both hourly and salaried, to receive what they had been promised during their many years of work.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. announced Wednesday it would be taking over responsibility for the plans of all hourly and salaried current and retired Delphi employees. Delphi Thermal Systems in Lockport has about 21-hundred employees, and several-hundred retirees in the Western New York region.
